Who is Gorman Building Group?

Gorman Building Group is a family business. Hearsel and Pat Gorman are the founders. They involved their sons Chris and Jason into the business after they completed their degrees at The Ohio State University in the 90’s. The company flourished with the four family members each finding a niche to support the guiding principles of quality building and customer satisfaction. As the sons have grown with families of their own, this new generation of Gorman Building brings the strong roots of family pride in their work and couples it with new building ideas for the 21st century. The company now encompasses a wide range of building services including single and multiple family construction projects, commercial development, as well as site and community development.

The older son, Chris Gorman, handles the construction management of the company. He has seventeen years of experience in the construction industry. From the time Chris was a small child, he frequented job sites with his father and watched as his Dad managed employees and sub-contractors with confidence instilling organizational habits that remain with Chris today. With his professional experience in project management, Chris has a unique and personal approach to each project.

The younger son, Jason Gorman, handles the sales and marketing for the company. After graduation he spent some years working for a large scale commercial developer in Washington DC before joining the company in 2001. He brought with him organizational strategies and a strong working knowledge on land assessment and site development. Jason is the owner of Gorman Realty Group. He offers full real estate services and is the company’s exclusive representative.

The “Group” in Gorman Building Group not only refers to the four family members, but to the team of contractors they work with from project to project. It takes quality people to construct a project. When our family name is on the job, we select only the professionals who share a similar work ethic and attention to detail.
